A round table was held at Esil University with the participation of the Deputy Director of the Central Branch of the National Bank

As part of the week of the Finance Department, a guest lecture was held for students. Ruslana Ishchanova, Deputy Director of the Central Branch of the National Bank (Astana), PhD, was invited as a lecturer by the department.

The topic of the lecture is "The national currency is the basis of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which is timed to a significant date – the 30th anniversary of the Kazakh currency tenge, which is celebrated in our country on November 15, 2023.

The main questions of the lecture were devoted to the characteristics of banknotes and coins of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the history of their creation, issuance. Special attention was paid to the achievements of the Kazakh currency in terms of design, protection and manufacturing technology. The main awards received by banknotes of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan at various world-class exhibitions were noted.

The lecturer introduced collectible and investment coins, told about the technology of their manufacture, design features, as well as ways and possibilities of acquisition. A small exhibition of the most famous and significant coins was organized.

During the lecture, demonstration films were shown describing the work of the Banknote Factory and the Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of the Republic.

At the end of the lecture, students were asked questions of interest, to which R.K. Ishchanova gave complete and exhaustive answers. As a result, the students received interesting information about practical steps in the field of cash circulation in our country, which certainly supplemented the knowledge of future financiers and bankers in the professional field.
