Teachers of the Finance Department took part in an international scientific conference in St. Petersburg

In the period from October 13 to October 20, 2023, teachers of the Department of Finance of the Esil University Institution, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professors Lukpanova Z.O. and Berstembayeva R.K. went on a research trip as part of the scientific project "Tax instruments for leveling social inequality in the Republic of Kazakhstan" to St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

During a scientific trip on October 19-20, 2023, our scientists took part in the International Scientific Conference "The State and the Market: the Eurasian dominant of development in the conditions of the formation of a multipolar world", organized by the Expert Council on Economics at the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly jointly with St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

At the plenary session and in the work of the conference section, such topical areas were touched upon as: Digital transformation of the economies of Eurasian countries and the introduction of digital currencies, the development of Eurasian economic integration and its regulatory institutions, the development of fiscal, monetary and monetary policy of Eurasian countries in conditions of increasing hypercompetition.

Our colleagues made a report on the topic: Problems of tax regulation of social inequality in Kazakhstan, the authors noted the shortcomings of the methodology for assessing the level of poverty, problems of social inequality in the country, outlined the role of tax instruments in leveling social inequality and voiced proposals for adjusting tax levers aimed at reducing sectoral disparities.

Also, during the business trip, lectures were given to students of this university, scientific libraries of the city of St. Petersburg were visited, work was carried out on the selection of information and sources on the topic of scientific research.
