The week of the Accounting and Audit Department was held at Esil University

From October 2 to October 5, 2023, the week of the department "Accounting and Audit" was held. The teaching staff held festive events:

The grand opening of the week took place on October 2. Within the framework of the first day, a round table "Banktegi bookkeeping yesep dane yeseptilik" was held. The purpose of the round table was the formation of students' competencies in the field of new banking products and technologies.

And also on October 2, a debate was held on the topic "Professional judgment of an accountant", during which some principles were given on which the relevant professional judgments of an accountant are based, the omission of which can lead to unreliability of financial statements.

On October 3, a scientific seminar was held on the topic: "Topical issues of the tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023". This day was continued by a guest lecture "Career in Audit" with an invited guest, the assistant auditor of the second year, Moore Kazakhstan LLP, Adilet Idrisov. And also on the same day, a round table "The role of accounting in the business process" was held, at which students demonstrated the legal status of the accounting service and its role in the company's activities, the role of IT technologies in the field of accounting and more.

On October 4, a scientific seminar "Shagyn zhane orta kasiporyndagy baskaru yesebin uyymdastyru" was held. The Department of Accounting and Audit organized a business game "Asset-Liability". According to the organizers, "This game allowed students to plunge into the world of competition and rivalry; to show critical thinking; to demonstrate their knowledge of accounting."

On October 5, an intellectual game "Accounting Labyrinths" was organized, during which the teaching staff of the department tested the knowledge of students they had received during the three courses they had completed.

The 5th day of the week of the department was completed with a guest lecture, where the General director of the Audit and Evaluation Center LLP Bazarbai Baltabayev debated with students on the topic: "Development and state of audit activity in Kazakhstan".

On October 6, an online lecture was held with ASSA Central Asia Relations Development Manager Assel Shkubarova. The speaker shared her story "Career in Finance".

The week of the Accounting and Audit Department was completed by a guest lecture on the topic: "Prospects for the development of accounting and auditing in Kazakhstan", where the invited speaker was the General Director of AUDIT LLP Rustam Bashikov.
